Origin Story

There I was, hiding under a giant blue and white knit blanket to sing and write songs. Afraid to reveal who I really was. I must had been 5 years old at the time. I still have that blanket too. The journey to how this band started I accredit to this experience of concealed passion. The fear of being seen/heard all at the same time a burning desire to being seen and heard. There is so much life I’ve lived and it would be a shame to not share my stories.

It took a divorce, my father’s death, my own near death experience, and the courage to confront these seismic changes and put them to songs. You see, the process is simple for me. I write the songs, I bring them to Aaron, and he puts his masterful drumming to them. We record all of our own songs at Studio Ventura and then bring them to mixing and mastering. The band formed when I called Aaron and asked him to do just this, take these songs, record them, and perform live. Here we are, Tito Padrino. My son calls him Tito (Uncle) and I’m the godfather (Padrino) to his two kids. Naturually we had to name the band what our kids call us. That's rock and roll. That’s family.
